Ordering
How do I order a bar?
Use the Build yours page to put together your spec, then press “Send my spec for a quote”. We’ll come back with a detailed quote within 48 hours. If you’d rather talk first, send us a message on the Contact page.
Do I need exact dimensions?
No. A rough idea is fine. We’ll advise on what works for your space once we know the basics, from tight corner builds to full canopy bars.
How much does a bar cost?
Pricing is bespoke because every bar is different. Size, timber thickness, finish and location all play a part. Once you send your spec we’ll come back with a clear, itemised quote.
Do you take a deposit?
Yes. We ask for a 50% deposit to begin the build, with the balance due before we build on site. It’s all set out in your quote.
The build
What timber do you use?
Construction-grade Irish spruce, the same timber used to frame buildings. It’s dense, strong and takes treatment well. Available in 44mm, 70mm and 100mm.
What finishes can I choose?
Natural oil (brings out the grain), painted in the colour you want, a combination of both, or untreated if you’d like to finish it yourself.
How long does it take?
Current lead time is 4 to 6 weeks from deposit. We’ll confirm your completion date when you order. Summer fills up fast, so get in early.
Delivery and building on site
Where do you work?
We deliver and build on site anywhere in the world. Overseas builds are quoted separately.
Do I have to put it together?
No. We build your bar in full in our workshop, take it down for transport, and put it back together in your garden ourselves.
What do I need to have ready?
A clear, reasonably level spot and access to get the timber in. We’ll talk through your space at the Design Consultation.
Care and aftercare
How do I look after it?
For oiled bars, re-apply a suitable outdoor wood oil once a year, more often in a very wet or exposed spot. Painted bars need a wipe down and a touch-up coat of exterior paint every few years.
Can it stay outside all year?
Yes, that’s what it’s built for. A weatherproof cover over the harshest winter months will extend its life further.
What if something gets damaged?
Get in touch and we’ll sort it. We can supply replacement panels or parts, and because the construction is simple and solid, most repairs are straightforward.
