Timber Taverns builds that for your back garden. By hand, in Ireland, from timber thick enough to frame a house. Where most garden bars are thin kits that sag by their second summer, ours are solid: 44 to 100mm construction-grade spruce, proper joinery, finished to last decades, not seasons.

Why we build heavy

Thin timber is cheaper, faster and easier to handle. It’s also why most garden bars end up warped, wobbly, or on a skip. We use structural-grade, kiln-dried spruce, the same certified timber used in house frames, because a bar is something you lean on, spill on, and gather around for years. It should feel like it’ll still be there for the next owner.

One at a time, made for you

We don’t turn out a warehouse of identical units. Every bar is designed around your space, your finish, and how you actually want to use it. A slim bar for a courtyard, a corner bar for a small garden, a big canopy bar for the long evenings. You tell us the vision and we build the one that fits it.

Built in the workshop, finished in your garden

Everything is made in our own workshop. When it’s done, we take it down, bring it to you, and build it again on site. The first time you see it standing in your garden, it’s ready to use.
